They do "Bhramari Pranayam" to improve their memory powers.

Sun is the Lord of Intellect. After giving oblations to Sun, Suryanamaskar is done. Performing Suryanamaskar is very beneficial for circulatory, respiratory & digestive system. Apart from physical flexibility and mental agility, it increases memory power and thinking power. Gurukul students are benefited by doing Sun worship. 

It is mentioned in the Rigveda that not only Sun illuminates the whole world but its rays have unparalleled power to increase immunity & remove health problems. Sun's light rays destroy the weakness & ailments of the Heart. (RV 1.50.11) 

Prayer

Prayer

Prayer is one of the best ways to feel connected with Godly power and to be one with it. Mahatama Gandhi used to start each meeting with a prayer. Gurukul students pray daily to stay calm and cheerful, so that they can focus on their studies easily.
Food

Food

"जैसा खाओगे अन्न, वैसा होगा मन” i.e. as you eat, so will be your heart. In Gurukuls, students are taught the manner of eating the food according to Indian Culture. After getting refreshed Gurukul students altogether recite the 15th lesson of 'Shrimad Bhagwat Gita' and then take the nutritious food in the righteous manner (i.e. food as per the climate and weather, quantity as per the need and time of food as per our scriptures).

Tulsi - Natural Treasure

A small Tulsi plant consists many of good qualities. It releases ozone gas which act as a tonic for the human health. It helps in digestion and acts as a resistant to the diseases like cancer and malaria. Also act as a booster for our memory and intellectual power. 

That is why these plants are worshiped in India. Our students also worship Tulsi Plant and consume it daily.
